Huang Wei-che attended the Southern Taiwan Regional Governance Platform Leadership Conference and called that all counties and cities in the south to cooperate for a better future

Tainan City Mayor Huang Wei-che attended the Southern Taiwan Regional Governance Platform Leadership Conference with mayors from Chiayi City, Chiayi County, Kaohsiung City, Pingtung County and Penghu County. He hopes that the various counties and cities in the southern region can continue to discuss concrete cooperation through the platform, and work together to seek the greatest benefits for the people of each county and Taiwan as a whole.

Regarding the water resource issues that concern the various counties and cities in the south, Huang Wei-che said that through the coordination and cooperation with each other, issues such as water use and waste disposal can be solved. Huang Wei-che added that Tainan has implemented fallow subsidies and promoted multiple water resource projects, and coupled with the completion of recycled water plants and Tainan seawater desalination plant to mitigate the impact of drought.

In addition, preliminary cooperation consensus also formed in the meeting on policy issues such as "Net Zero Transition," "Waste Disposal," "Public Transportation Monthly Pass," and "MRT Network," laying the foundation for future specific cooperation plans.

Huang Wei-che emphasized that the Southern Taiwan Regional Governance Platform is an actual governance cooperation instead of a slogan. Through regional cooperation, mayors can truly achieve "one fate, same boat" and work together to overcome challenges.
