Tainan participated in the 2018 Intelligent Community Forum (ICF) Smart City Competition and has been selected as the one of the Smart21 Communities of 2018 from 400 cities.
The ICF is established by the non-profit organization World Teleport Association (WTA) and headquartered in New York, US. It aims to enforce international cooperation, create job opportunity and stimulate economic developments. The analysis held each year is based on the six Intelligent Community Indicators including Broadband, Knowledge Workforce, Innovation, Digital Equality, Sustainability and Advocacy. The evaluation consists three different stages. In the first step, ICF will pick top 21 cities out of 400 around the world. ICF will further pick top 7 cities and decide the Intelligent Community of the Year.
The 2018 Awards program focuses on the theme of Humanizing Data, which explores the intersection between big data and open data as well as how the information can help to improve the citizens’ health condition, welfare, safety and create opportunities for the city.
Tainan City will continue to participate in the Top 7 stage and dedicate to become the Intelligent Community of the Year.
