The event was also attended by Kaohsiung City Mayor Chen Chi-mai, Chiayi City Mayor Huang Min-hui, Taitung County Magistrate Yao Ching-ling, Penghu County Magistrate Chen Kuang-fu, and Pingtung Deputy County Magistrate Huang Kuo-jung, among other southern county and city leaders. Huang Wei-che emphasized that Tainan, together with Chiayi County, Chiayi City, Kaohsiung, Pingtung, Penghu, and Taitung, has developed a unified consensus on various areas of development. He believes that cooperation will yield synergistic effects, benefiting the public and leading the region into a new era of Southern Rise. Conference attendees also visited the Asia UAV (Unmanned Aerial Vehicle) Innovation Center.

Huang Wei-Che stated that the southern counties and cities are closely interdependent. For example, the commuting time within the Greater Southern Region is about 90 minutes to 2 hours. Another example is the Zeng-wen Reservoir, where the catchment area is located in Chiayi County, but the main dam is in Tainan City, further illustrating the close ties between the southern counties and cities. From the high-tech S-corridor to the tourism industry and infrastructure development, the south must join forces and work together toward the goal of shared prosperity and mutual benefit.

The Research, Development, and Evaluation Commission, Tainan City government stated that in the face of the new wave of AI technology, deepening regional governance and cross-regional integration is crucial. The Southern Taiwan Governance Platform serves as a bridge to foster close cooperation between counties and cities. He hopes that southern Taiwan counties and cities would become strategic partners in policy-making, utilizing resource sharing and strategic collaboration to inject positive energy into Tainan's urban development. This would shift the axis of development from north to south and would create the next economic miracle for the region.

At today's Southern Governance Platform Leadership Conference, Tainan City Deputy Mayor Chao Ching-hui accompanied Mayor Huang Wei-che and led city department heads to participate in discussions with other counties and cities on issues related to urban development, including transportation infrastructure, environmental protection, public health and medical services, and digital governance.
