Tainan City Government and AI Labs signed the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on February 13, 2018. City government expected to combine unmanned Aerial Vehicle, AI technology, and municipal management effectively to support industry and start-up development.
To follow-up the discussions between two companies, Tainan government signed an MOU with AI Labs to evaluate using drone aerial camera to collect image data of municipal administration and conceived the introduction of AI technology to enhance the effectiveness of public safety and municipal administration. The technology can be used on Tainan Government management in the future on the public safety aspect such as policing, fire protection and public works projects. For example, identifying the location of stolen vehicles can be rapidly carried out in a large number of video materials, instantly knowing the location of fire can help to control fires as well as assisting agricultural disaster area estimation and other image recognition related to the extension of the application.
With the vision to build a “Smart City,” Tainan City Government use the newest technology to assist municipal management and increase government efficiency. Meanwhile, the government and public continue to work together and integrate resource to build a Smart City Tainan.
